In early 2010 I did makeup for the Sisters Grimm play When Lorraine Stops Falling. DIY in the truest sense of the word, it was rehearsed once during the day and performed on the same night in a Brunswick Street living room. Sisters Grimm describes the play as "one girl's epic journey of self-discovery, incorporating Hey Dad!, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Cakefarts".

Blood in the Beard: Matt

Matt Kulesza channeling The Cockettes in Michael Leonard's acid-sploitation short film Blood in the Beard, directed in 2008. I designed and applied the makeup, acted in the film, and as part of Rat vs Possum, composed, recorded, and performed a live soundtrack for a screening of the film.

The most time consuming element of the makeup was blocking the eyebrows out with wax before applying concealer and colour. The makeup application was included in one scene of the film which showed my character applying lashes and glitter to Matt's face
